Learning app

Building a daily learning companion.

Quizly is my bilingual Kankor study app for English and Dari. I built it around a simple idea: make practice approachable, and turn mistakes into a useful next step.

The problem to solve.

Kankor preparation involves more than getting a question right. Learners need ways to practise consistently, revisit mistakes, and see progress in a language they understand. Quizly brings these pieces into a mobile experience, with guest learning and offline content alongside account-based features.

01

Learning before sign-in

Guest mode keeps progress on the device, so an account is not the first obstacle to starting a study session.

02

Dari as a complete experience

Localization includes right-to-left layouts, theme choices, and math rendering, rather than only replacing interface labels.

03

A clear trust boundary

Sensitive operations such as AI requests and leaderboard writes go through a Cloudflare Worker; Firebase handles authentication and cloud data.

What the project includes, and why those pieces matter to the experience.

Four ways to practise

Normal, Hardcore, Progressive, and Kankor modes provide different approaches to a study session.

Connected when it matters

Offline queues support result and leaderboard submission when connectivity returns. AI explanations require an internet connection.

Learning feedback

Mistake history pairs answer review with math rendering. Progress and mode leaderboards help connect individual sessions.

Current product focus

The Expo mobile app is the current product. The repository also includes an early React web client; the gallery shows those interface previews.
